Thank you to all who commented on my first entry here at the forum! Your thoughts were instructive and inspiring, and I hope to be able to return the favor for each of you.

The saddle was retired from the Morgan Horse farm in Middlebury, Vt and kept in a dusty hot (!) junk tack room illuminated with one window, which fortunately had a roll down shade.

I turned the EV way down which helped bring out the contrast and rich color.

Excellent color and texture. I feel that it needs more lighting on the left hand side of the picture but given that, this should be good enough to frame and hang up somewhere.
