I like the image but those posts look pretty straight to me!

This might have worked better in the challenge if the crop was of just the reflection and not the straight pilings.

LOL @ your title and his expression. I'd love to see his eyes... or a glint/highlight in one... (not voting yet)

I love this shot. For me, it would be a much stronger image if it was cropped tighter.

Reminds me of the scene in "The Karate Kid" where he is standing on the pole and kicking. . . . Good capture.

composition is not great.
the subject seems to be a bit too centered, I would have liked to see more space in front of the bird. there is a very harsh line that cuts the picture in half and does not add to a composition. taking the picture from a lower angle thus having more sky might have been an option, or alternatively, taking picture from a higher point you could have eliminated most of the sky, making the background more pleasing. Using larger apertures (if it is an option) the background could have been blurred, which makes it more pleasing as well.

Gerald sat on the rooftop and danced a happy dance. He called out in glee. He yelled to the world his happiness.

She had accepted! She was to be his bride!

Another dance, another call of pure joy, and then off he flew. It was the best day of his life.
