New Growthby ShazbutComment by LiamD2005: A poor image. I like how you got the DOF correctly but the colours are too bland and theres nothing of interest in the image. |

New Growthby ShazbutComment by Yo_Spiff: I'm not caring for this, I'm afraid. two main issues, I think. The subject of the branch is positioned in such a way that my eye is not led to it, and it fights with the hills in the background for my attention. The other issue is the overall image seems a bit on the light side. Not overexposed in any way, just no visual "oomph" to it. Hope that makes some sense. I think perhaps a close, detail view of the new growth, with the shallow DOF being used to guide my eye to one part of it may have worked well.
I also noticed some compression artifacts (blocky pixellation) visible around the edges of soe of the leaves against the background. Your file size is only 91k is well under the max allowed and you could have eliinated the compression artifacts if you had used that remaining overhead. |

ring a ring a rosieby ShazbutComment by fuzzyt: Nice idea with the mirrors. Not a bad shot, but I think the lighting makes it look really flat. Not much depth to the photo. Focus seems a bit off.

ring a ring a rosieby ShazbutComment by GThumbtack: Fantastic shot, great use of mirrors! My only wish was a different lens, mode or ...something to get the dolls face better focused/sharper. |
