Gangster poohby monkeykt91Comment by Melethia: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Hi Katie,
I see you've entered one challenge so far - welcome to DPC! You'll find this is a great place to get a lot of very good advice to help you move forward with photography. In looking over your comments, you've already received some excellent advice and suggestions for this particular entry with respect to composition, focus, lighting. One thing you might want to look at before your next entry is a tutorial on how to size your images to give the most impact within the limits of DPC. That tutorial is here.
I do hope you'll try another challenge!

Gangster poohby monkeykt91Comment by Love6: too small to really judge properly- overall it seems like a very low quality JPG... take advantage of the size options available... its easier to judge an image that one can see finer detail in |

Gangster poohby monkeykt91Comment by NikonJeb: I would have liked to have seen some more time and effort spent on this. The size could be bigger, the contrast/tonal ranges could have been enriched, and the concept expanded upon in more depth. The tilt is good, the focus softness could work.......I hope you see this comment as intended to be helpful. Good luck in the challenge. |

Gangster poohby monkeykt91Comment by fuzzyt: Focus seems a bit off. I would pay more attention to composition and lighting. Shadows on the left of the image are distracting and the angle is somewhat awkward for me.
Just my opinion. :) |

Gangster poohby monkeykt91Comment by bobonacus: nice angle but the focus seems to be off ... camera shake maybe. Try resting your camera on a table or chair and some books to get the correct height if you dont have a tripod |
