Well it's vintage -- cigars, rye jug, um- apples. It's grainy, that's the texture of vintage. It's centered. I never know what to say on photos like these: I could leave you with the above, or I could tell you grow beyond that picture you've probably seen before in an ad or catalog. The one you're trying to imitate here. What would a more interesting perspective do for a photo like this? From an elevated position, perhaps, so you could really place these items out of the reach of a departing soul.

What about this says, Vintage? What does this even say? You've got a "subject" with her back to us, something else coming in from the left and a background that is easily, if irrelevantly, more interesting than the foreground.
