I agree with Lev and with tnun. This is a superb photojournalism picture Quincy. Congratulations on a wonderful, durable photograph. Thank you.

ETA: Hope you won't think this a frivolous observation, but from a street photographer's point of view, a particular charm of this photograph is that these two guys share almost exactly the same nose! That kind of subliminal echo is what separates the extraordinary from the ordinary in our secret little corner of photography.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

This is a cute shot and glad I gave you a 7 in voting :-) Your wife is gorgeous, the details are spot on, and knowing (in hindsight of course) that there actually is a bun in the oven just adds to the sweetness of your final placing and the delight on her face. Not a lot to nitpick here apart from the lighting, either another light or at least a reflector on the right to light her face. It is a little distracting but I think in this case the one-sided lighting works in its own way. My own oven's light is set off to one side so it doesn't look that fake to me. Good dof and glad you did go with the highish ISO, it paid off.

I too would actually like to have seen an actual bun of some sort in the oven, just in the lower third. My own significant other thinks a pizza arcing from one corner to the other would have made this image even better. But there's nothing better than getting a new PB with your favourite person in the frame.

So congratulations - for both reasons - and keep up the good work!

Feel free to PM me,

Susan

I'm flattered by you finding this to be so good.

As for her future appearances, don't worry about that, so far, she's the only model I have! (And I don't mind that one bit...although..she might a little hahaha)

Thank you for all of the wonderful comments, and the one or two critiques in there were also very spot on. This is my second personal best in a row, and for me that is just a wonderful accomplishment, so I thank you for your appreciation of my idea and the image that came out of it!!

As for the bun, ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_N.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_N.gif', '/') + 1) . ' tanguera, it is in her belly! haha
