I probably would have left out the claw marks, but you have to lead others fairly strongly or they'll miss the obvious reference. This was the best idea in the challenge, and to be frank, I'm kind of disappointed I didn't think of it having a PhD in physics.
Answering the question we'd have to peek inside, but we'll only see one of the superpositions. |

The only moon photo to crack my upper tier of voting. The clarity and detail of your moon is exceptional. That's why I elevated so high. |

This is the difficult entry of the lot for me to explain. It was different with unique features. Sorry, it's about the best I can leave on this one. |

I liked this because the moon isn't ever the focus of the image, but without it, the image would be non-existent. It has that slightly eerie feeling, and if you could have snapped a bird, raven or crow, on the wire it would have pushed this right over the edge. |

Gave this a lower mark at PWOContests because it didn't fit the challenge as well as some of the other entries. For this challenge here I have it in my top three. Really well timed shot. If there was more bark flying off it'd make it that much better, but that's out of your control. It does look like the right foot is slightly more in focus than the face of the bird; a slight distraction. Looking at the other version, it could simply be the pixel restriction. Amazing what 50 more does for minute details.
Nice job Richard. |

That's no moon. It's a space station! by RyanWComment: #2, tied with another.
Nice idea in a challenge filled with real moons. This was the second thing which popped into my head (first being mooning my daughter), that I'm glad someone actually did it. |

Top vote.
Creative? Check. Legos? Check. Moon rocks? Check.
Only thing missing is Michael Collins looking out the window being relegated to a trivia question for nerds. |

Three Degrees of Separationby h2Comment: #3, tied with another.
Not a fan of the border, but the content and composition are really good. The colours are subtle, but the contrast between the boats and their direction really draws the eyes across the image. |

Completely random for this challenge. When you see nothing but portraits and landscapes, anything which is different elicits a higher score over here. This one has the WTF element to it which brings it way up. I imagine there were many outtakes I would have ranked as high also. |

This looks like it should be a poster for Deadwood. Love the lighting, the detail, and the look. Really well done portrait. |
