this is quite lovely - the shades of purple / violet are very pleasing, and the lighting is nicely effective. the damp on the stone steps is a bit of a distraction, and one can't help but expect to see a knight in shining armour somewhere in the vicinity of the frame. but all told, it's a stylish and atmospheric picture. 7.

Very very nice. gorgaous skyline here. Personally, i would have liked the sculpture / reflective element to fill more of the screen, but overall i like the look of the shot. quite unique, i love the distortion of the skyline and the clarity / sharpness is great. 8.

This is very dark (in a good way, dark in spirit not in lighting) and atmospheric. So much about this i love - the non-perfect fence, the muted colours, the way the tree is lit, the walls of the building. The angle of the shot (especially regarding the biulding) is fantastic. the silhouette of your title is a little superfluous really, i think the whole shot says so much already. I think i might have been tempted to crop out the lamp at the top - it's a bit too bright and quite a distraction. I think i would have cropped the top of the shot 1 or 2mm below the bottom of the lamp. also, though the border is a little fussy, it seems to work well. 9.

There are certain details in this shot that makes it overall quite appealling. the colour and lighting on the damp cobbles is particularly gratifying, and i love the shadow cast by the gate on the pavings. Having the grey-haired person works, too. Unfortunately though, it all seems a little messy as you look further back. This could do with a being a little sharper, either by using a tripod (or any flat stable surface - personally I̢۪m always on the look out for rubbish bins and other street furniture) or possibly a higher aperture (it seems quite shallow because the cobbles do appear to be in focus). this has a load of potential but let down by a few factors put of your control - for example, it's a pity that the detail of the ironwork at the top of the arch has been lost... did you try adjusting this to a sepia tone? the lights and darks might lend itself to a successful adjustment. overall good - 5.

this is brilliant - totally adore the blackness of the trunk and the gorgeous golden colours of the tree. depth of field is remarkably effective. one of the best tree shots i've ever seen!

this is very good - the side profile works very well - almost like one portion of darwins accent of man type thing. his black fur against the grey stone works exceedingly well, and the composition works. excellent - 10.

Tigers are dignified, majestic and violently dangerous animals. You've made him look like an old soppy! And bravo! the only that might improve the overall image would be the tigers location - a bit of light on him would have been good, but seeing as he probably would not be co-operative after a shove, you probably had to make do. it's a lovely taken shot, and encourages a smile. 8.

he looks lovely. a bit like a cow pat, but still, lovely. very very nice job on the focus, but i think the lighting is marginally bit harsh... it's a cute shot though - 6.

excellent depth of field, beautiful detail / colour on the birds eye, weird bonkers beak, and very nice composition. a seemingly boring subject done exceptionally well and interesting to view. so much detail and wonderful sharpness. 9.

The bird appears a little grey / washed out - maybe a quick blast with the contrast might bring him out a little bit. it being a members challenge, i might have been tempted to clone out the uppermost part of the trees, as they're not particularly well captured and are a bit distracting. it's also a bit of a pity you couldn't get closer, because he looks lovely. 5.
