Seriously underrated. I expected this one to get the blue by a wide margin. The expressive jumps and timing to get that bird in just the right spot for composition are blind luck perfect.

A little too dark, and this could use a human element, but still one of the best in the challenge. Lighter midtones and a woman in a white dress against the rail at right could have been a runaway blue ribbon IMO. 9

The flowing lines of the highway leading up to an Emerald City lookalike make for a wonderful composition. I just wish you had balanced out all the reddish light in the bottom half. 9

That was DQ'd for a vignette in Basic, not a border (it would have been fine in Advanced). "Creating things that weren't in the original capture" applies to the image area, not the border, since obviously the border itself wasn't in the original capture. I already posted an example of a validated breakout border that ribboned in Advanced. It's legal, end of story.
