What kind of Engineer are/were you? I have several of those texts in storage from my days in college.

Anyway, pose and positioning are good. The two things that I thought that could possibly be improved were: the number of books, and the color scheme (not sure the duotone is the best choice for this.)

The expression on your wife is priceless. Looks like she is ready for a study break. Clearly the other commenters didn't struggle through engineering school.

Odd to find a nest in such a place! I think the contrast could be better--perhaps the flash (?) flattened this out too much? Interesting nonetheless.

I love the reflections! Very peaceful indeed. I like the birds in the reflection of the cute cottage. Nice place to live. Only thing I would change is having the white box (?) and black thing on the lawn to the left.
