Looks like it would have been near impossible to avoid, but if you could have taken out the bottom left corner where the edge of the shelf (?) shows it would have completed the feeling of being boxed in better. And the top right. I would have been seriously considering a 9 or a 10 with those two aspects removed. Agamemnon --8

This just seems excellent down to the last detail (which happens to be for me the scarf dots matching the sky). It does seem faintly familiar though I am unsure why.
I think this shot will be highly underscored but that is the way things are sometimes. Agamemnon --10 (My shot of the week... would love a PM about it to satify how it was taken)

A very nice shot John, interesting biblical connections in the subject matter and well executed. I do think the version that makes the apple the only color in the shot works slightly better but of course that is not legal here. 8 -Agamemnon

The Pencil That Was

I think this shot would have been served by more DOF, not neccasarily all in focus (Though for this site it helps if it all is) but a tiny bit more would have worked better for me. Also, I think without the tool in front it would have come off as mysterious. Each of these seperate factors could have pushed my score up by one each. --7 Agamemnon

The small space between the white lead and the red pencil is the only minor thing I can find to talk about, so I talked about it. Great shot, even with all the good color shots this seems the best use of color itself. --10 Agamemnon

Well, I am not finished voting yet but this is the best picture so far. I can't identify what is sticking out above the P on ther pencil, but I can't help wondering if it could be done away with. It is the only distraction I see from an otherwise dare I say 'perfect' shot. This might be one to retake and attempt to publish somewhere.

Works very well for this challenge, and would have worked even better for the next. When you do the final work of this you may want to spot edit out what I am assuming is what is left of a shadow after photoshop in the upper left.
