Honeycomb of Steelby Aussie_BlueyComment: Interesting pattern you've got here. Tighter cropping would keep eyes in the picture. Adding an element to give a sense of scale would give viewers something to focus on as well. |

Tonic.by H R VerryComment: Interesting composition and good lighting, but not a macro. |

screwed?by Gareth S.Comment: Getting close, but making the subject larger in the frame would really bring out the details. Focus is off and shadows are a bit strong. |

My Petby depsComment: Interesting subject. Nice detail in the eyes (I never knew turtles had striped eyes!! How strange!). Focus is a bit off. |

At The Readyby BigMoComment: This picture has some good elements (sunset, scope against the sky), but I think it would do better in a different category. While close to the 1:1 scale of macro photography, you could still get even closer (maybe just the bullets). |

Complex Carvingby sndsgnl1Comment: Nice pick of an unusual subject. Lighting (one light source, it looks like) is a bit bland and the angle doesn't let us really see the carving. Maybe next time use a white piece of paper to bounce light onto the dark side. Interesting details could be better seen with a wider depth of field. |

Teardrop by prozacComment: Wow, that's amazingly close! Nice lighting of details. This picture could be improved a bit by working around the reflections from your softbox. And there's just a wee bit of dust on the upper right. Overall, good job. |

buster pawby thebetterhalfComment: I've always liked cats' feet too (and dogs', for that matter, as long as they're not muddy!)... Good job of showing the details on this paw. I would like to see this in plain black and white as the blue tint makes me think that Buster's sleeping on someone's work shirt :) |
