LOL! You're right! Funny how once we get something in our mind, we sometimes cannot see the mistake -- even years later. :)

Title corrected. :)

This tree (folks!!) has no waist line. Quite unattractive in my opinion. It's bark is still on too, so WHY is it in the "Nude" gallery? Am I to understand the photographer equates the mere suggestion of genitalia with an unclothed human? And worse, are we to understand that the human body, a female wondrous miracle in particular, is somehow "funny"? This is not funny, not at all. No, it's a crying shame -- a travesty even. You ought to feel ashamed. Many find this behaviour to be childish and inconsiderate. Consider yourselves scorned. :P

Love the lighting -- and the glint in the eyes captures so well.

Example of how a different crop can transform a photo. In this case, I followed the "golden rule" of placing the models eyes/nose at roughly thirds in the frame. The original is titled "The Look", something better emphasized in the upper image -- according to my eye at least.

I find concentrating on the eyes or center of a face and puting them somewhere in a "rule of thirds" position provides a great starting point for framing portraits. I try hard to take all my original shots with this in mind. It's SO easy to forget and snap the subject dead center.

The original photo is by crystaline, who has being sharing lots of wonderufl "nudes in nature" with us.

Nice angle, good lighting for a grainy feel. Good pose too, wouldn't change any of that. I like digital grain (longer exposure, low light) for some reason. Many don't. *shrug* I agree with the crop comment, I would try to get, say, the ridge of the nose at 1/3rd up from the bottom by cropping of a little of the top -- just for that final touch. :)

The composition is excellent in my view. The crystal clarity, lighting and super-sharp focus diligently capture something very real. Rather than abstracting human flesh, this shot celebrates the natural form in pristine detail. I love it.

I think the photo deserved a much higher placing in the challenge than it got. I guess socially/culturally biased, subjective criticism was involved yet again. "There's no accounting for the voters" :)

I suppose it would be non-democratic or some travesty of privacy to suggest people who vote shots like this below a five (5) should be shot?

(with a camera I mean, for us to see who they are, of course :)
