Fishingby spreadcomComment: Why they were actually ceiling fan blades all in a row. Fashioned to resemble sails. |

Did You Say Light On White?by spreadcomComment: Thanks for the positive comments! I was out gunned by some well deserving entries, but I had fun.
The bulb was soldered to solid copper wires which were taped to a narrow 3 foot long oak stick, which ran back from the base of the bulb between my hands. The wires then dropped down to an extension cord. The stick was hanging at the center from the ceiling by a string. The string, wires, and background, all being white, were hidden mostly by my hands, but were pretty much out of focus. voilÃ

Redby debitiptonComment: Nice photo. The background seems to compete a little with the subject, but the subject is definitely winning! |

Yellow To Goldby spreadcomComment: Thanks for all the comments! This was a 15 sec exposure of an unlighted candle with a small light behind it for illumination. I then quickly "drew" each trail with a small yellow light, turned it on at the candle, off at the coin. A second momentary "dab" at each coin to blend. More then a few attempts to get it balanced!

Call Your Shotby spreadcomComment: A 10 second exposure, using a small focused light source in line with the balls so that only the end ball was illuminated. I quickly removed each ball at about one and a half second increments, exposing the next ball in line to the light.
