3000 B.C.by anthonyczajaComment: Great idea. To me he looks very caveman-esque. That being the case the title should have been a little earier (something like 15,000 BC). Other than that I like the hue, it ads to the uniqueness of your photo. Well done. |

Planescape-2by supradaComment: I like the planescape, it appeases the geologist in me. A bit more contrast might make the image pop, it seems a little flat; the colors seem a bit muted as well, but that might be my (crappy) monitor. The plateau below left center looks like a discus thrower just after release the disc, with the plateau to the side being the discus. At least that's what I see :) |

Cribbageby LadeeMComment: For me I think it would help if the observer had a sense of direction, ie a reference as to where the pegs are with respect to the finish. I see this was the intent of the dof and oof peg nearest the observer, but it doesn't quite work without a reference point. Maybe a view with the pegs just on this side of the finish line, especially if the cribbage board had "finish" written on it. Then have a title like "Almost there" or "Two more to go" or some such.
Couple that with shiney pegs (someone else's suggestion) and see what the result is. Overall I like the photo, the lighting, the contrast.
(Edit for another title idea). Message edited by author 2005-08-04 21:35:24. |

Money to Blowby NullixComment: Took a second to recognize the bg as a kleenex box, may a little more dof would have helped. Great idea! |

Money To Burnby rlpenman1Comment: I like the idea. I think if the flame were lighting a cigar it would have done more for me though. |

Blue Loopby alfrescoComment: Thanks for the comments and critiques. After viewing this shot on monitors other than mine I've decided that my next purchase is a new monitor. Thank you SJ for the vote of confidence! |
