Curlicue Dropletsby noranekoComment: I'm surprised this newest version (for Hidden Gem VII) didn't do better than the one that got the Blue back in 2007. A 7.5537 score is hard to beat though. :)

Hidden Gemby LydiaComment: I like the processing this time much better than last, although that one did make the Top 5. :-)

Natural Bridgeby Yo_SpiffComment: Hey! How could you be in our neck of the woods and not say hello? That would have been fun. Wendy ( vawendy), Mary ( MaryO), Daniel ( The Eskimo), and I, are all within a reasonable distance from this site. Which reminds me, how come I haven't been there in years? :-) Need to go back. Did you see George Washington's signature? |

Point of Intersection by namComment: New PB?! That's awesome. Congrats! I had this picked for Blue myself. Great capture. The timing, the color, the in-your-face intersecting lines. Sweet. |

Crossings & Intersectionsby TiberiusComment: I liked the view overall. Seems to be lacking some 'oomph' (appears a bit flat). A little post work on this would have kicked it up higher in the results I think. Still ... Top 5. :-) Congrats. |

Tillandsia usneoidesby Yo_SpiffComment: This was one of my favorites in this challenge. Unique and well processed. I wonder how it would have done if the concentration (main subject) was only the lower part (just below the tangled 'something' in the upper third)? Would have had that stem on the left by itself then, but that could be removed. Anyway, nice find and well presented. |

A View Of The Past Brought Into The Presentby BarronessComment: I like the lines in this ... the wall sending me into the background building. Pleasing comp overall. My immediate thought when this loaded was it felt slightly tilted to the right. The foreground building is level (vertical line on wall is straight) but the rear building appears canted.
In general here, puffy clouds and blue skies, don't rise to the top very often. This scene does beg for some harsher, more creative processing applied I think.
Very nice location - hope you can visit this a few more times and get some different angles / perspectives / lighting scenarios, etc. |
