The old ladies homeby
AzrifelComment: Thanks for your comments. I have not cropped it, for various reasons. One of them is that I had not much time and found it hard to get a decent 640x480 crop out of it. The picture was not made specifically for this challenge, I made it to think about future possibilities with this subject.
It was a bit hard to get a decent framing, I had no tripod (to allow more zoom and thus a longer shutter time in these light conditions). In front were parked cars, the little white rail is a sign for the library (very unfortunate to have it on the pic) and the surrounding buildings are not interesting. So I really should have taken the time to crop it. :-)
The 1610 date was not taken in account, and not meant to push the theme. Dates are on all the old structures in Hoorn / Holland, so I cannot help that.
Unfortunate that I met the oldest lady of Hoorn in front of the oldest home in Hoorn after the submission date. :-)
The reason why it looks so new, is because it was restored a couple of years ago, like many other likewise structures. I think they keep them in better shape nowadays. If you like these kind of structures, there are a lot more in Hoorn. And indeed, it is a kind of Begijnenhuis. Doei :-)
