Transition from Stem to Flower by pointandshootComment: Wow!
Wish I had taken it - but maybe I am too staid and dull to think like it.
Thanks for the boot it has given me - I feel motivated to do something similar - emulation is the sincerest form of flattery, they say, so thanks again |

Pure Countryby QartComment: Very evocative - I didn't see where you're from, but it looks like America, though the hat seems more like an edwardian English hat, so I feel kind of lost geographically.
I had a flashback to the '60's, where a track from Acker Bilk was played, with a pix of his bowler hat put on a hanger of a photo of Ilkley moor, and it just seemed like it somehow.
So, very evocative to me. I really like the subtle tones in the landscape, and it seems a well deserved Yellow - hope for more later |

DEAF POET'S LAMENTATION by hotpastaComment: Lovely shot - very smooth tones, excellent contrast, like the clouds.
I am sure you will be well worth following in future, as I am a bit new to all this, so best of luck for the future |

Smooth dropletby katOsuComment: OOPS!
Sorry, I hadnt read your comments. The smallness of the droplet will give such a round ball. I didn't appreciate how small it was.Just goes to show I should be more adventurous with my camera.I have a syringe - you have given me a shot in the arm to move on with my photography! |

Smooth dropletby katOsuComment: What a shame, but better luck next time!
I wonder if the drop is real - surely it can't be so perfect unless it is a glass ball, but even if it is, the idea is very nice - even the view through it is splendid.
I look forward to many more successes, and the time is right for you to have them - I have the same camera, but not such a knack for a brilliant image
Best of things for your future! |

Date in BWby LevTComment: I like the humour in this one. They are on a date, but all they do is read books. I used to live in a book world, and dad had to shout to get me to leave off and come and get my tea when I lived at home.
Now, with digicam and computer, I am up till the wee small hours doing a similar thing.
I wondered how it would be if they were holding hands this side, but still had their noses in the books?
Tell me this is not posed - I just think it is so good. They can be on a date, and miss the important thing - each other. Sad but hope it is not a major feature of their relationship. |

Kozakov 2by LevTComment: Very nice exposure - and the gesture is captured well. I am 'gobsmacked' as they say. I can't imagine how you got the exposure so well in what appears to be bright ligting, but must have meant a very tricky exposure
Congratulations on the whole thing - colour, lighting, right contrast, timing, and so forth.
I have noticed how much travelling you do. I didn't think Physicists were such globetrotters - how wrong I was. |

Charlie Chaplin "The Golden Rush"by LevTComment: Lev - I got here from your comments from another shot, and think you have great skill as a photographer. Most impressive work on this site. Do you do photography professionally? I think you should. You have a lot of Photogrphic flair, and it's lovely photographs with excellent control and the right levels in all the shots I have seen of yours
I will keep an eye on your work - I am sure I will learn a lot
I like this shot, and remember the scene from the film - I think you look more like Albert Einstein than Chaplin, but the idea is definately a good one.
All the best for your future |
