Fish Head and Flyby JimmieComment: Yum. Good stuff. Not an appealing photo, by any means. I will give you credit for the tack sharpness, color and contrast. |

On a Summer Eveningby andriComment: Gorgeous light! Rule of thirds would have worked nicely for this...maybe 1/3 sky and 1/3 beach. Love the rocky beach :) |

Caseyby robaComment: Not sure if you use Neat Image or Noise Ninja on this, but the photo seems to have a little to much of the effect, particularly on the girls face. Also, her right eye is too dark. I cannot see it at all on my calibrate monitor.
The composition is ok...I, too, am unsure of the coloring. Maybe try desaturating the rose just a tad? It might help it blend better with the muted tones of the photo. |

I'm Rich !by BradComment: Great capture of expression...great in black and white. A little on the soft side, maybe. |

Dragonflyby ralfwComment: Lovely capture...great color and bokeh. Would be even better if he was a tad sharper. |

Prairie Pondby BeeCeeComment: I really like the foreground on this, but the sky seems akward. Maybe it's because parts seem overexposed? Might be worth a try in black and white....but I really do like the color of everything but the sky, on this. |

Loversby BeeCeeComment: I personally think the flares distract from an otherwise excellent shot. I am always a fan of silhouettes an sunsets. I like how the light gives a nice glow to their hair and seperates their from the background. The photo does have a slight lean towards the left, but that is a simple fix. |

sfskyline.jpgby faidoiComment: I looked at the full version, and I really like it. IMO, not all shots like this look good with a boring sky, but yours works. While it looks great as is, I wonder if making it more contrasty (is that a word) would really make it pop out at you. Damn, I really should be looking at this on my calibrated monitor before making comments like that. I'll go upstairs and revisit this shot.
edit: yes, seems like a touch more contrast would be nice. Message edited by author 2006-07-22 04:10:16. |

Sunset Driftby RikkiComment: This whole thing is a blur. What were you thinking? Ahhh, good ol' days at the beach drinkin' while holding your camera. Was this pic taken after you dropped your camera???
Actually, I do like this...somehow. It is because I am drinking too. When you don't have water...the next closest thing is vodka. Hey...it's clear too.
P.S. I did mean it when I said I like this shot. Everything else was obviously sarcastic Message edited by author 2006-07-22 04:26:02. |
