I've passed this image up a couple time since I was undecided about it each time. I think that allow the DOF is good (actually, it could be a tad more shallow) and the lighting is fine, there's too much of the luggage taking up the frame, so it's hard for me to get a sense of the them being left behind. The way it's composed, it feels cramped, giving me more of a sense of urgency, rather than lonliness, i.e. luggage sitting there by itself.

I think the DOF doesn't do enough here to isolate the foreground. Also, the shutter speed should've been a been faster to capture the water.

This composition forces me to focus on the out-of-focus area. However, I'm finding it a bit difficult to make out the object; I'm assuming it's an elbow propped on a couch arm rest. If that is the case, it's not a significant enough subject to draw the viewer in.

Although DOF and composition are good, there are a couple of things that don't sit right with me about this picture. I think the wire is a bit distracting. Also, I think that the space to the right of the ornament could be filled something more interesting, such as another light, perhaps.

Although the DOF is "right" in this image, focusing on the middle ornament is quite random. Since it's the only one in focus, my attention is drawn to it but then I'm left wondering what the significance of the middle ornament is. I would've liked to see an outtake with her maybe reaching for the middle one or simply looking at it.

No Rudolph? :P I really like this picture for some reason. It's a very simple subject, but it's composed very well, the lighting is great, and the DOF is great.

A slightly more shallow DOF would've helped this image quite a bit and would've isolated the closest flower more. However, I like the lighting and composition.

I don't find the subject interesting enough to help pull the image together. Although the DOF is well done, the background and the subject are unrelated so it's hard for me to feel anything for the image.
