The Candle's in the Bag (Luminaria)by RistyzComment: What a beautiful shot! I love the way you have the candle lines leading the eye into the shot and the dark of the hillside balancing the brightness of the path. |

Candlelit Christmas Cardby linda12201Comment: Nice clear focus and beautiful colours. Too much going on, IMO. Perhaps removing one or both of the Christmas balls would give a clearer focal point. The red candle on the right also has a distracting lean to it that a slight rotation of the shot may have helped. |

White Christmasby garlicComment: Interesting concept, difficult to pull off. The black wicks of the burning candles draw your eye even though it is difficult to see the flame against the white background. I think you meant the candles to represent an advent wreath so I hope I understood part of what you were trying to portray. |

red wine by candlelightby enashComment: I like the blur/halo around the wine glass, it gives it an added dimension. I don't like the blur around the candles though, it just doesn't appeal to may taste. |

Quoth The Ravenby donnievComment: Good idea and composition. I feel that a more subdued lighting with more shadows would have been more effective to convey the atmosphere of "The Raven". Perhaps you could try adjusting the contrat level or using curves to increase the contrasts to make the shadows pop. |

Snow by Sunsetby KivetComment: Congratulations on breaking into the +6 score range from a fellow R707 user! Great capture and colours in this one. Don't you just love it when you can actually catch that moment the way you knew you could? |

incandescenceby xtineComment: she looks mesmerized! love the compostion of this, and the B&W works well. The reflection on her arm is a little hot though. |

fallingwaxby permapierComment: good focus on the main candles. I think a closer crop of the reflection, say about to about half of the longest flame may have reduced the distraction that the reflected flames take from the upper part of the image. |

Musical Spiritby ApeeComment: like the idea and the set up for the shot. don't like the noise pixels apparent in his face and hand or the object in the lower right corner covering the bottom piece of the guitar and his arm. (duh, I see it now, that's his leg!) Message edited by author 2005-12-19 09:48:39. |
