Fire on the beachby greslizzzComment: This is a nice image, and I understand that there are patterns in nature everywhere you look, but it seems as though it's completely left to the viewer to find whichever pattern he or she wants (in the trees? on the beach? the reflection of the far hill on the water?). |

Ye Olde Stairwayby pikwolComment: I like the idea of using the photo sideways (I like photographs that help me to see common things in new ways), but I was distracted by the patterns within the stairs and the railing (the wood, the dirt, the wear), so that -- to my eyes -- the pattern itself was more lost than emphasized. |
