I think you chose a nice time of day for this shot. I think daytime is too happy for such a situation, and nighttime wouldn't show everything, but the stars refracted through a single bubble might have looked really fascinating. 9 | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 09/21/2005 07:58:07 AM | Bubbles Over The Rainbowby serogersComment: This is very chaotic, full of colour, and a bit cluttered... I like that. The bubbles are fascinating, it was a nice decision to have bubbles that aren't all spheres. The light you have reflecting ont he bubbles is really fascinating. This is well done, but I feel that a little more focussed depth if possible would've been nice.. 9 | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 09/21/2005 07:54:28 AM | Amber Bubblesby gurlwithapenComment: This is very fascinating, but I have a hard time believing the amber spheres are actually bubbles. Being bunched together and not merging or popping and such. The blinds make an interesting reflection, and the small bubbles are a nice. I'm not fond of how the background changes so instantly on the left, though. 7 | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 09/21/2005 07:51:37 AM | Bubble of my futureby maxlevayComment: The monochrome here is nice. You have mostly neat reflections on your bubble, except what is that in the centre? It looks almost as if you tried to put it there. The out of focus background is a nice background too. 8 |
| 09/21/2005 07:48:54 AM | A Bubble Universeby tonygComment: This is a nice one. The purple and yellow, complimentary colours, I believe, or close anyway. You captured the opposites togther, and it doesn't look bad, I find it a little bit uncommon to see opposites that work well together. Looks almost purple and gold, sounds like royalty to me. I don't know what that is on the bottom, it appears to be are flection of sorts, but it seems to stand out a little, this isn't enjoyable. The photo is nice, it is wel done, but that reflection, it bugs me a little. And is that a shadow on the left side of some bubbles? A wall there? It sort of hurts the 'universe' idea once you find that your universe ends. 7 | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 09/21/2005 07:44:53 AM | bubble troubleby soerenComment: Bubble trouble is right. This is a very active image. I don'tknow what that is in the centre, but it looks fascinating. The bubbles are neat, too. The fact that you can barely see them without the light source causing a reflection. 7 | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 09/21/2005 07:41:43 AM | C'mon already - darn bubbles!by glad2badadComment: Oh no..... My mother always yelled at me when I blew bubbles in my milk/chocolate milk, 'cause it would get so messy. Better hurry before your mother gets there!
I think that how you used what looks like chocolate milk, instead of white, was probably a good idea. The picture might have had too much white otherwise. The shadow of the face blowing bubbles brings the concept together, without obstructing the image with an actual face. I think more bubbles would be nicer, though. Chocolate milk has a lot of bubble-potential. 8. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 09/21/2005 07:38:16 AM | Zen Masterby dsa157Comment: Aha, I'm entertained by this one. The reflection on the bubble seems a bit strange, almost if I'm looking at your light source, which appears to be a lamp.
I like the idea though, and that black background with you fading into makes it all that mor enigmatic. It explains the chopstick talent. ;) 9 | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 09/21/2005 07:34:38 AM | Bubble in airby ranjisreeComment: Personally, I dislike the dissolved focus, and the colour of the background leaves a fair bit to be desired, but I think that this concept it rather nice. It could have been executed differently, but I'll give you a 5. |
| 09/20/2005 11:19:20 PM | A Splash of Color by RackatComment: Wow, this is really cool. Everytime I tell someone to look at this, I end up coming back to look some more. It's so fascinating to just stare at.. It's really enjoyable to stare at for a long time. But one thing has me confused.. Shutter 1/40?
How do you get such a clear picture with such a low shutter speed? Come to think of it, everybody seems to be able to do that but me. That water must've been splashing awfully sowly to get such a clear shot of the splash. Whatever the case, I'm impressed. Definitely a favourite. |
