DOF is too shallow, I would have liked it better with both eyes focused, er...well both eyes are focused on something, I mean I would have liked it better if both eyes were sharp, but then most cats have pretty sharp eyes......well you know what I mean.....jeeze.

Good effort. Nice comp. DOF is problem, soft focus in foreground is just not desirable effect. Also I think your choice of border hurts in this case.
