I like the contrasting look of the two players and the angle you chosed, using the hues of the background to further separate the subjects and isolating one from each other (or maybe I am making it all up and you never meant it that way, but that's how it looks to me). I find the sharpening a tad too strong, but it might be my monitor. Very good capture, congratulations.

I loved the one you eventually decided to post. Still, I find this very expressive. My eyes are kind of trapped between the mouth and the eyes, moving back and forth flipper like. Very expressive image.
