You can make a good living from Microstock. But images like the above are very common these days. Glamour does not sell. If you have a commercial mind, knowledge of who buys Microstock (look for credits in your local papers, BBC, marketing blurbs etc), you understand how to sell things etc, it helps. Read Ogilvy on Advertising and some other books on the subject of selling, they have helped me. Research the stock sites. Look at each and every photo you take a look at it 100% size. Microstock demands professional work ethic, hard work, and good quality control. Most people don't have what it takes to hit the big time. But some do. It might be for you and it might not. The nose blows it - meaning that shadow is a bit distracting, otherwise a nice idea and good exposure. Worth re-shooting.
