by MephistoComment: Nice series. Hope you put these on your own web site so that in the event that one day you leave DPC I can still find them... |

by MephistoComment: My happiest times were riding steam trains through Communist China in the earliest 80s. You remind me. Not so sad as you(th) might think :) |

CRby TiberiusComment: Deutsch Tauben? Nice shutter speed. Well, if this is not Melethia's entry, then please take it as a nice comment :) |

by nixterComment: I like your portfolio a lot and find many inspiring images that I would like to add to my selection of favourite photos. However, because you insist on not giving (m)any of your photos a title, when I click on my favourites, I am unable to click on the title of your photo and go and look at it again. No title, no click, no review. You're an artist, I know. These title thingys, pigeon holes if you will, must be irksome ;-) Message edited by author 2009-07-22 11:41:29. |

Dartmoor Graniteby paynekjComment: I think you did a good job with this and I like the way you did not disguise the gloomy grey day. That's reality, especially on Hound of the Baskevilles Dartmoor. |

A Linkby raishComment: Norway's Lucy. At least it is not Norway's Piltdown Man. That artifact did make a big glare of publicity recently across the world and it is a nice fossil indeed with fine detail. But, aside from national academic politics and rivalry, there is still a lot of verification required before the claims of it being a missing link are accepted. (Speaking as a geologist here who spent much time studying palaeontology). Message edited by author 2009-06-26 13:40:29. |

Butcherby lejComment: I think the series is interesting but the photos need help with lighting and they are rather soft on focus. This is a non-fiction account and I like to be able to see sharp detail rather than Photoshop-like blur effect. 2 light stands and 2 portable flash units geled appropriately would give you a much better result. Even 1 unit since the ceiling is low and you can get indirect bounced light to avoid direct lighting. Just my 0.02 cents. Message edited by author 2009-06-26 06:54:23. |
