His Stareby L2Comment: Great portrait! The only thing about it that bothers me is that you probably went a bit too far with the sharpening tool. I like the high-key approach and the crop/composition. 7 (a bit softer and it would've been an 8) |

Offspringby CalliopeKelComment: Excellent, stunning expression, eyes, detail, B&W tones, pose, ... So strikingly beautiful! There is nothing I can point out that bothers me, so you get a full house of points from me: 10. |

The Travellerby jjbeguinComment: Good ide and an interesting angle. If the title wouldn't have been "The Traveller" though, I'm not sure I'd have noticed the person as an important part of the photo. Kind of needs to stick out more (I think). Other than that, a pretty nice photo. |

Blue Eyesby karmatComment: Go easy on the Gaussian blur :) Beautiful eyes and beautiful lighting but the blur washes out the photo too much I think ... kind of makes the child's face look like a doll's face. |

First Moments Aloneby lahulfmanComment: Good framing, although I can imagine some would say that the bushes are in the way a bit (I don't think they are). The fact that you see them through the bushes makes it even clearer that they are alone ... or so they think at least :) Well done! |

"You May Be Lonely in a Crowd"by tfarrell23Comment: With the title, very well done. Without it, no chance I'd have gotten the point :/ I think a photo should be able to speak for itself, the title just being an extra element. I know this is a very personal subject and therefore hard to cast judgements on things regarding the message, so perhaps someone else totally gets desolation out of the picture. |

Helpby EnnilComment: Great dramatic scene and posture on the model. I also like the low contrast; it adds to the desolation-feel. The only "-" for me is that I'm not sure whether or not the model is smiling; kind of seems to be doing so and that doesn't reflect desolation towards me at least. Very well done overall though :) 8 |

Disconnectedby GolferDDSComment: Good idea and I like pretty much everything but the B/W treatment; I think the tones are a bit too washed out. |
