Wow! Must've been an awesome feeling doing that. Love the black and white world and such an apt title.

If the footmarks on the left of the hikers weren't there, it might enhance the "Intrepid explorers" feeling even more - food for thought for you if you're planning on printing/framing this large size.

Left Standing

Phew! A door with such nice textures and character, set in such a wonderful and incongruous setting - the possibilities are endless! I'm sure you'll use this door again and again for various challenges.

This particular shot hurts a little from the normal perspective. Probably a zoomed in shot from farther away might've enhanced the incongruity by blowing up the mountains size relative to the door. Good luck.

Beautiful! Minimalistic and nicely composed. Must've been hard focusing with such thin DOF, especially outdoors with the wind.
The lighting on the dragonfly is a bit harsh though, and there's some lack of detail on the dragonfly - is it a huge crop?

Beautiful stop motion shot. Must've been very difficult to get the exposure so right - those eyes would've been lost in the black band. A slightly higher shutter speed might freeze the wing tips better, but I like this one better since this gives a hint of motion.

Wonderful candid and a great idea converting to B/W. Captures the simple childhood pleasures very well. The tight crop is a good idea as well (must've been busy with a lot of folks in that area), but a little too tight on the right hand fingers :)

To Bee or not to Bee

Seems like a nice shot - you should've posted at the full allowed resolution for 800px a side. I'm afraid, you might take a hammering in votes for the low resolution. Usually when I want to do it, it's because I want to cover up some defect that's apparent at a bigger resolution, in which case, I just chose to not submit it.

The perfect black background is awesome and contrasts well with the subtle green and yellow of the flower. Good luck!

Beautiful evening sky. Always love that orange to blue color gradient. Nice shot of windmills at work. The set of converging lines into the far out distance is fantastic.

Beautiful shot! The vibrant tones on the boat are a nice contrast with muted tones everywhere else. The peeling paint on the boat, the clouds on the sky, the long exposure waves - all add such different textures to the melee. For such a subtle picture, the border is too bold and unnecessary though.
