Hogs and Kissesby RodertComment: Haha! I remember thinking about a similar shot when I first played the 'Angry birds' seasons of the same title. But this is executed much better than I could've. Love it that the backdrop color matches her eyes. And the whole post-processing adds a wonderful 'technicolor' feel to the shot. Nicely done. |

Delicateby supanovaComment: ooh.. "Delicate" is right.
Very sensual - from the subject to the color palette. Love the concept.
However, there's a certain lack of detail that's bothering - either because it's a huge crop or because of heavy noise reduction. |

Hotel passagesby tigerluongComment: Wonderful set of lines all around. Good eye!
Might look even better in B/W instead of the yellow and the gaudy carpet color. Might've looked more symmetric from a floors below :) |

Feather Frenzyby Samantha_TComment: Hehe :) Good capture of the absolute concentration of the cat.
Nice timing, perfect lighting, and a good conversion to B/W. Good shallow DOF as well, and yet sharp! |

Untitledby jnenvirComment: Nice timing on the collision of a drop and rebound. I know these things are hard, but DPC has an aversion to such drop shots as cliche. Especially in a Free Study - I hope you aren't getting hammered.
As an aside, DPC has also seen some extremely quality work in this aspect, so it's hard to match up to that quality to score well. Here's an example of a drop shot that's done well in FS:
Good luck! |

Fusionby aprudhommeComment: Talk about timing! Nice explosion in the hands.
I think a closeup of the balloon splash without the model's face would do even better (given that he's already wearing a dark tee). I understand there's much hard work involved in getting the timing right, not to mention the patience to clean up afterwards. However, DPCers might find such shots cliched - Good luck! |

Colors of The Nightby alexlkyComment: What a wonderful set of colors and reflections! Nicely done.
The foreground is more or less a distraction, the rocks don't have much detail or appeal to them, and are only serving as a block to the moon reflection. They're not even needed as a natural border since you already have a bold border. Other than that, I think it's a pretty neat composition even with the Moon in the center. |

Moon landscapeby cprintzellComment: That is an alien landscape for sure.. Is that granite or sandstone? Wonderful striations and a nice, balanced composition. Wish that harsh shadow wasn't there though - it's distracting away from the direction of the striations.. |

Partly Sunnyby essayComment: Wonderful detail and colors on the subject, and a nice unobtrusive background. Love the title, although I think it should be "Mostly Sunny" :)
I do see quite a few jpeg/compression artifacts in the background though - possibly from post-processing? |

Beautiful Alienby sulamkComment: Feels like a heavy crop - the lack of details is hurting the picture quite a bit. Also, the focus is in the center of the pic with a busy background all around. Hope you'll have a chance to shoot the beautiful bird again. Good luck! |
