Cascading Water

Whenever I see cascading falls, the picture I think of is this:

The falls are nicely framed in this one with a natural border all around.
But the falls being busy only to a quarter of the picture leading out of the frame, leaves the rest of it quite empty of action and unable to support the main subject well. I don't know how the terrain is and if you could get any closer, but filling up a majority of the frame with the cascading falls would've wowed me. Good luck.

Very cool! Almost grunge. The clouds in the background look like an angry volcano! The B/W conversion makes us focus on the busyness and crowds rather than on the neons of the signs. Good idea!

Disneyland?

Wow! I don't know where this is, but this is what I imagine Romania to be like.. :) Castle on a hill with wonderful country around... The teeny tiny road leading up into the hills, the village in the far distance, on the shore of a lake snaking in the background, the wonderful clouds pattern in the sky - so many elements to enjoy!

Not quite sure I get the title, but it doesn't matter. The picture is so wonderful. The dappled light, the kids in the light path, the lone rock jutting out of the lake, the playful orientation, all add up to a nice picture. Converting to B/W is also a great idea to take the focus away from blown highlights.

Very nice portrayal of idyllic country life! Always love the dutch windmills, and the sunny green and blue color combination.
Funny that all the sheep are staring at the intruder :) "Go away and let us graze in peace!"

Interesting that the foreground matches the rainbow's curve :) Nice composition there. The rainbow needs some boost in saturation though, to stand out more. Must've been a wonderful sight to behold.

Wonderful bokeh and nice pastel palette.
The harsh light on the purple flower and the cutoff wing take away from the scene though. Must've been hard to get one in such perfect focus - I know how fickle the moths are and how it's always windy outdoors when you get to focus :) Good attempt.

Surreal! Feels very old school - like a velvia scan! Simply love the reflection wrapping around the foreground and how the sky and the foreground rock balance each other out nicely in form. Wonderful composition. Among the nicest photos I've seen under harsh light, making use of it well.

Wow! The subtle palette and the silhouette both work well in focusing us on what's happening in the scene, rather than on any details. Fantastic story telling picture and an apt title.

The Lighthouse

What a fantastic location and image. I understand you'd lose the detail on the hill if you underexpose a bit, but right now the lights are too bright. Inspite of it, they define the image well and help separate it out into the fast bottom and still top. Very nice.
The border is useless though. Infact, it's distracting a little at the bottom.
