Comment by De Sousa:
The idea behind the Posthumous Ribbon is to encourage you to break the rules, to find new and different ways to express yourself. To free your mind to think clearly toward the solution that is certain to come, to laugh at world and at life, not doing what others are expecting you to do, but just following and listening to what's in your heart. DPC itís a wonderful learning place where everyone should be supported on their way to be a photographer. A special attention should be aimed to those working hard with different views and approaches to photography, those not aligned with the mainstream taste and receiving no recognition. Itís our responsibility to support these photographers creating diversity and expressing different visions. Being active at the Posthumous thread itís the best way to do it. Being active at the Posthumous thread itís the best way to protect your and the otherís freedom of being different. Thanks for taking the time to enter this challenge. Stay wild.

This is my second top rated pic for the challenge. Another that I would rank way high if it was in a regular FS. Has a great feel and balance to it. I wish it was a bigger image so I could see more of the detail in the objects in the middle left. Even so I am truly enjoying this pic. So for my second place you get a ' . substr('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/50000-54999/53147/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_649859.jpg', strrpos('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/50000-54999/53147/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_649859.jpg', '/') + 1) . '.

I love the natural framing (from the shadows) and the feeling of depth. The blurred figure makes it feel somehow lonelier than if there had been no one at all in the picture.

Comment by ubique:
Scale. It's all about scale I suppose. Immensity of the stage versus insignificance of the person. And the tiny bit of blur about the head & shoulders, as a bit of a nod to posthumous. Nevertheless I give it high marks for the conventional stuff: perfect exposure and tonal control. Top ten for me. Thank you.
