The Brightest Candleby aquizComment: This is a good shot centered wise, but I would like it more if a different color was used. I like the title. 7 |

A dog's life...not so bad!by bmartuchComment: This made me laugh in a good way... one of favorite characer type of dogs. It made me tear up thinkging of my English Springer and German Shepard that both passed at 14 years old. I miss them so much. This one looks like he/she could be a lot of fun...
I think you captured the character quite well. I am not good enough to comment on technical the technical aspects at this time. |

A Grey on White by RistyzComment: I love this image. Great cropping. One of my picks for a ribbon. Congrats on placing in the top. Your portfolio has a lot of great horse images by the way. Message edited by author 2006-12-04 03:27:30. |

The Ice Queen by ColeyComment: Beautiful, all around. This was one of my picks for a ribbon. I would say that you should be earning an A+ in your class. Your wife did a fine job with the makeup. Congrats on your ribbon. |

The Egg & I..... Featured with the Plattersby shutterbug8Comment: Originally posted by rlhcedar: A plastic "Woody"? That's disgusting! Seriously, why not take a white egg? Also, your white balance is way off, overall the picture is much too dark. commented by eyewave
My husband threatened to throw this "PLASTIC" Woody away, then said, "I guess I'll have to get you a new "REAL WOODY" for Christmas. So a real woody is on my Christmas list. Don't suppose it will make my photos any better with the tremendously low scores I seem to continue to get. Even so, if I made one person laugh with this little set up then I accomplished the one thing I set out to do, against my husband warning that this will not help my average. The white balance is different platters with various shades of white. Challenge did not say had to have a solid white or bright white background.
Lesson learned, go with the flow if a previous challenge has set a precedent.
side thought; Interesting to see so many bright on white and black on white scoring so well.
second side thougth; There seems to be a few mean commenters out there, so my very sensitive side is being provoked to grow much stronger. Not that that is a bad thing. I just hope I do not become to mean in the process. | Message edited by author 2007-02-20 00:49:20. |
