Thanks Patio! Yes, we went to South Africa for two weeks vacation -- 1 week in Capetown and 1 at Pilansburg National Park (where this was taken). Pilansburg is an extinct volcano. That's where we went on game drives. It was great!

Lion Eats Giraffe

Hi. I didn't see it; a guide told me that some other guides reported having found the giraffe still alive but with a broken neck. They wanted to help; but there was nothing you could do for a giraffe with a broken neck, so they left it to die. Personally, I would have shot the giraffe to put it out of its misery. Yes, the lion is walking on the giraffe.

Great job, Chris. Sorry I didn't vote in this one. I've been too busy. But It's a fantastic shot. Hell of a performance for your first entry! I don't get the 4 1s and 4 2s. What the hell is wrong with people. It was probably someone I ticked off who saw the word Omani and thought it was by me! Love it! Don't know if I'd call Oman a very pro-woman country, though.
