Reflections of Dinnerby NobodyComment: I would give this a higher score if the same picture had been taken on a darker day. For me, black and white goes better with darker days. Looking at this otherwise excellent picture, I can tell that it's a bright, sunny day, and I immediately think of colors. Could be just me. |

Our Green Countryby terjeComment: I'm looking at the breakdown of scores on this. How the hell could anyone give this incredible picture a 1? 2? 3? 4? This is one of the best pictures on this site. It's an obvious 10! I'd give it a 20! Really, who the hell gave this shot a 1? It must have been someone who thought of your shot as competing with theirs. Unbelievable! |

A mysterious womanby NomadPhotographyComment: I don't know what to make of this one. On the one hand, it is visually pleasing -- which is a positive. But I have a very hard time reconciling the partial nudity with the images of Middle Eastern Muslim culture that these clothes conjur in my mind. Maybe this is supposed to be a rebellious woman rejecting her burka. That would be interesting. But, her skin makes her look like an Anglo, which, for me, makes the scene look fake. Add-in the English graffiti in the background, and it doesn't work for me. Probably you never intended any of that and I'm probably reading something into it that isn't there -- based on my own environment. Please tell me if I'm completely off-base. In any case, it's a far better photograph technically than I could do. |
