Splash!by PGerstComment: good idea for a shot i like the yellow of the rubber duck and the blue of the water. would have been better if you would have composed the shot so you could see all water and not the cut off at the top corners. |

Young at Heartby cujeeComment: great idea but way too dark.....the subject blends with the black background too much. should have either tried to put this person against a light background or have them wear something lighter.... |

Isolatedby the99Comment: a good looking lady in a nice yellow dress great idea for a photo. A couple thing to consider though. Maybe bringing the model to a nice sandy part of the beach would have been nice. The title of this photo is isolated even though there are a bunch of people in the background. If you wanted to isolate this subject which would have been more effective then you should have maybe asked the person if they wouldn't have minded going to a more quite place on the beach. Also the highlights in the wave are completely blown out. I don't know what kind of camera was used but it seems like the photo was maybe taken on a low res mode because it is very pixely. Please don't get upset i am just trying to give you some information to go by to maybe improve your images a bit more. |

Grooooooooovvvvyyyyyyby xcharrierComment: Good subject for this challenge. This looks like a very interesting light. A couple things to consider. Maybe putting this light into an interesting environment would have been good rather then using a simple black background. If this was not a possibility then maybe using a white background would have been better because the lamps base is black so you loose it in the background which is also black. Also i can see that the highlights were blown out. That is something that you should always pay close attention to. |

Winter Rains Make Golden Hillsby escapetoozComment: This is a great location for this challenge and this is a decent shot! It would have been nice if the blanket this person is holding would have been yellow to complement the nice yellow foreground. Maybe even get her to wear some more yellow! also the trees in the sky dont really add much they just draw your eye away from the subject. They arent really needed. I find the best images are when the distractions are minimized. |

Bus Stopby stagerlComment: Good idea to use school busses for this challenge i was thinking about using the same subject. If i were to do this shot again i would try and capture either the whole bus or busses or capture the mid section of the bus because then you would be focusing more on the yellow of the bus. This composition you see things that dont need to be seen to communicate the message that you want to and that message is just yellow. |

Dangermouse.by LonzComment: good idea for this challenge. you should have been up a bit higher so you could get the focus in the foreground though. The image has also been over sharpened so try and tone down the sharpening. Good idea though and a decent attempt. |
