Nice shot, kids and animals work well for this challenge, always puts me in mind of the 'family pet' which every kid loves. Beautiful dog, is he a Bordeaux? The DOF is good, although having the dog in clear focus as well would have been nice since the shot title is about both of them, the focus as it is makes the shot more about the boy. I like it overall, good exposure and a lovely subject.

Look it's "Turner and Hooch"...Sorry that's an old movie. I like the pic. Looks too cold for me though.

Nice memory, it's too bad the dogs face isn't in focus as well. That's the tough part about using a wide aperture.

big lad seem just a bit out of focus, and seems to have a sepia toning to it white distracts from the white of the snow, nice dog and lad though

As a Blackburn Rovers Supporter, I must mark you down for the Liverpool Shirt............

Nice Expression. Would have been great with some lighting from abpve to just stop her hair from merging with the black backdrop. I like to contrast of Red on Black, which makes the rest of her stand out well from the background.
The light appears to be from directly in front (correct me if I am wrong). This causes the areas closest to the camera and directly in front (her Arms, the Carlsberg logo) to grab a little too much attention, rather than her face, which appears slightly darker. I would love my eyes to get drawn to the face more than the arms in this shot.
