Mom edited.jpgby SheryllComment: This version is very good, but I think the eyes look a little too intense, and this detracts from the softness of the rest of the image. Just a thought. |

Maestro1.jpgby AlmilanComment: Thanks for the comment - actually, there is space on the other side, but there are passers by, which I wanted to try to cut out, hence the first version. I'll have another go. |

Maestro1.jpgby AlmilanComment: Cropped too much, maybe?

Rhyolite Mercantile.jpgby SheryllComment: I like the result - but there seems to be a sort of glow around the roof of the shack. Could you do something about it? Or is it intentional? |

Taani2.jpgby manishComment: Great, but the kid looks a little anxious! In this case, I don't think I would crop anything off the right, it balances the direction in which the child is looking, what I mean is that it gives the impression that there is something beyond to look at. This is good IMHO. |

Taani1by manishComment: Great. You could crop more off the right though. |

Taani4.JPGby manishComment: Great shot. Perhaps slightly more detail around the eyes (cling-film over the flash works well, I'm told) would have added something. Otherwise, i doubt anyone would complain about this shot. |

Taani3by manishComment: I agree about the arm. Shooting kids is not easy. They move and framing them well can be a nightmare. The image could be a little sharper - but that depends on what effect you want. |

Wild Donkey original.jpgby SheryllComment: Nice shot.
You could have tried flash on this to have eliminated the shadow from the donkey's head. What shutter and aperture? The focus is not sharp, so maybe the shutter speed was too low. Unless you have image stabilization, 1/50 is about the min for handheld. Try putting the camera in continuous shooting mode too - this gives you more chance of getting a better shot.
Is this a RAW conversion? |
