I guess I should have twisted these :) to do better...though I knew when I submitted that it would not score so high, its too delicate and looses many details when resized this small.
I guess I expected a bit lower score actually!

Thanks for the comments!

I used G5 because at the moment its the only camera I have IR remote for and I was both the model and photographer on this one.
Fired the strobe with Elinchrom Skyport trigger.
G5 is ok to shoot with, it has decent manual controls, raw file format, hot shoe...the lens is not that hot but in this case it turned out fine.

Calliope thanks for your compliments on my breasts :)))

Thanks for comments!

Since aKiwi already commented maybe there is no need for this, but...it seems for some of you the image is too silhouetted and for others it looks like side lighting rather than backlighting?
I forgot to write photographer's comments so here they are - black background, one softbox directly next to it (~20 cm behind), body is slightly turned toward the light so it doesnt become silhouette.
Its just a low key photo, if I used reflector or another light the caracter of the image would change.

aKiwi thank you for encouraging words! (took a look at your profile - there are some great images in it)

This image is truly beautiful, with a strong feeling and the title that fits it very well.
For the backlighting part I don't really think it enhances the photo, just lights up all the hair on human body...sorry.
Still, its one of the best images in this challenge, just not the best example of backlighting (though it does work well to separate the subject from background and add 3D quality to the image). 9

Very nice image, the light is great, it has atmosphere, only thing I don't like is the lower part, its too distracting and doesn't really contribute anything. Maybe if it was shot horizontal?
But getting that pigeon at the right spot must have been a pain, so...9

This one is my favorite in this challenge, a little atypical for DPC which is a plus, also great tonal range, atmosphere and light. Bravo! 10
