I really like this image... the color of the sky together with the composition of the silhouette. I think it is a stretch to the challenge topic and don't necessarily agree that if fits, but I certainly understand that everyone's interpretation is different. Nevertheless, great work here.

Looks like someone else was at the game with you :-) Now I'm not sure which could be Arnit. :-) Fantastic shot here.

I'm not a really big fan of the toning on this one. I also think the image is really busy and I have trouble focusing on any part of the photo. This set up would have done much better against a solid background, still using the mirror under it. I like still life work, I need to get much better at it myself. So, to summarize - take away the background, change the duotone either to a different shade or make the image color and I think you'll have a wonderful image.

What I do for getting a solid background on the few still life shots I've done is set up a full size matboard behind and under the subject. I then take a large sheet of wrapping paper and tape it to the top of the board behind and end of the board under for a smooth flowing background. If I need black, I use 2 black matboards with nothing taped to them.

First off on the tilt... It's hard to tell if it's quite as bad as first meets the eye. Just looking at the horizon I would say yes, but looking at the metal railing on the edge of the pier, I would say no. Anyhow - this isn't a group about tilts, so I'll move on. :-)

My first reaction before really studying the photo was that there isn't a whole lot of contrast. Everything feels grey to me. Then my eyes fall on the barrels and the unicycler - and they pop. I also like how the barrels lead my eyes right to the back edge of the photo and along the way I get to see a lot of people and I wonder what is going in their life.

I don't know if I like the position of the unicycler in the frame. Something doesn't feel right with that, but I can't place where I think he should be. He definately belongs in the photo though.
