I was on the fence myself, but I didn't like the overwhelming white background and I was running out of time. I need to go back and edit this one again.

That's exactly what I thought. It looks like it could have easily been shot at 1/60s or so with no difference.

I've done several entries using this technique over the last few months, and I must say, you have done a great job with this one. I think a little backlighting for the end shot would have helped with some separation from background, especially around the hair, but this is one of my favourites from this challenge.

Nice idea, but you should have used the full 1200px in width considering the lack of height. The image look quite small. The extra detail would have helped.
