Progressionby levyj413Comment: Interesting and vaguely Warhol. What I've done before is played around with merging two (or more) layers, with the original photo underneath the threshold layer - then play with opacity and/or blending modes to bring out detail in interesting places (eyes and mouth in particular). Can get some really interesting effects. |

b&w editby thegrandwazooComment: Definitely the b&w. Gives it a much more noir feel. Maybe dodge the hat up a bit, or maybe bring the background up instead to create a bit more separation? And smoke...smoke seems to be such a quintessential noir factor, and for card playing would really add to the shot. Still, it's wicked. V. moody. Message edited by author 2008-02-03 18:54:17. |

waitingby thegrandwazooComment: Lovely moody shot. I can't help but think that this would work better as a noir in b&w? |

Lilliputian Interrogationby cryingdragonComment: Brilliant! I take it your other hand is out of shot on the shutter release cable? The post processing feels a little strong but the content carries it through imho. How does this look in b&w? |

Day-03-IMG_0806.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Next time that happens just turn your face into the sun a little bit and see if it helps - doesn't have to be a side profile shot, just more in that direction to pick up some of the rays. |

Day 3 - Party Pooperby photokariangelComment: Lovely shot - I like the desat and the overall sharpness of the shot. Your expression really does look fed up/miffed and is a nice contrast with the party hat (wow, I nearly used the word juxtaposition...heh). |
