The quality of dessert glass is gorgeous. I think I would like to have seen a tight crop of it.

Must be a Konador (spelling and I think I've seen you do an image of a trumpet in the past). I am especially impressed with your setup... Black background with a hole, subject in hole backlit. Very creative. Assuming you are Ben, I envy the fact that digital photography/internet/image editing etc etc is available at this point in your life. I loved photography as a teenager/early 20's, but couldn't afford to go crazy with it. I'm happy to see the way you utilize the technology along with your natural talent! You do great work and you are getting better all the time.

If you are not Ben, I like your image and please forward this comment to Konador!!!!

Solid black background works well with the deep read. Technically well done. Nice use of ROT for the spout.

Mmmm. That looks yummy even if I'm not entirely certain what is being poured -- syrupy something, but it looks too thin to be actual caramel sauce.

Unfortunately I think the tone is a little too dark -- I can't tell if it's just too-focussed lighting (the way the glass edges dim out sort of suggests this) or if the background contributes. There's a decided colour difference between the pouring liquid and the bulk of the bottle, which is what makes me fairly certain that's a lighting issue.

But the composition is good, framed well, and it meets the topic.

Very creative - you cut a hole in the black bg? Interesting set up for this shot, I'm sure! 8

*tilts head* How did you do this? Well, hopefully it'll be obvious post-challenge.

The problem for me with the concept of this photo is that as the trumpet is not currently being played, the fingers-in-ears thing is less of a good match. The basic concept is sound, it's the precise implementation that I'm not as keen on.

I think this would say "sound" to me more, if someone was actually playing the trumpet. : ) Cool effect though, I like it!
