Looks pretty messy to me. The ropes kind of "spoiled" the overall photo. But being the theme of the photo, it made the rope looks like the mis-fit. Might want to work on the composition. Sorry Mate.

"Where's the rope?" - that's the first question that came to mind. The photo is overly focused on the background scenary... the rope is downplayed and "lost" in the photo. Sorry Mate...

Finds the shot a little messy and the B/W processing a little sloppy. Feels like a coloured photo desaturated. Might want to check out the tutorials on the conversion to B/W, it does gives some good tips. Sorry Mate.

for 1, I can't tell if it's ropes or chains. The composition is alright, but the colours is a little too red. the theme "rope" is not best described in this shot.
