Framed by ivashComment: If this shot had been a *little* less tilted, I would have scored it an extra point. It's a *gorgeous* framing work.. but the tilt juusst puts it off for me. |

Yellowby arngrimurComment: I am very impressed with the centering of the opening here, and the color of the yellow. It is *extremely* even, and it's a color that gives most people (and digital cameras) a fit.. due to white balance. The fact that you've also got the girl's face lit wonderfully and in focus is further genius. My only suggestion would be to somehow find a way to make the lower half of the opening (her upper body) darker. A wondefully captured piece. |

Going the Distanceby ArtysteComment: Thank you Ironworker and elru21 for your post challenge comments, they were really helpful :) I'll touch on a couple things:
Wider shot - I wanted this too, however, the baby can't walk yet and I had her mother (The girl holding the arms out is her sister) holding on to the baby on the left side.. so I had to crop it where I did to disguise that, sadly.
B&W - Yah, the black and white looks off to me now too.. too contrasted. I wanted the background dark because of the clutter, but at the time I had nowhere else to shoot it.. thems the breaks! :)
So, these are things I will for surely be working on in the future, and thanks again for commenting! It makes a newbie feel really good :) |

Trapped in angerby AmasonComment: I thought I did comment on ths image.. strange.
Anyway, I said that this has to be one of the most creative entries, it's very well lit, I love the expression on the model's face, and I've added it to my favorites. Congratulations :) |

mug shotby whiteroomComment: extremely inventive. Is there a way you can get the second mug in a little more focus? That would have been interesting to see. Also, I suggest a cropping closer to the bottom of the mug handle and further from the top for centering purposes. |

Oriental Framingby eswikComment: I suggest that there's too *much* framing going on here, cluttering the image and distracting from the background subject. |

Riversideby computerkingComment: This shot is over-exposed. I'd suggest using an f-stop of about f5.6 and a shutter speed of 500 - 800.. and then experiment from there.. if you can. If you have a p&s, try aperture locking the sky, and the bringing the camera down to take the shot against the background of the trees. |
