This thread is a great idea. I thought about starting this myself a few weeks ago since I have a number of favorites selected where I am the only one to have selected them, but it's a pain to deal with the image numbers and bring each image in the thread (ok, I'll do it later).

But why is it that you can't browse these at the site level? You can only see the top favorites from the site favorites page. It would be nice if you could page down through the favorites, ranked by number of people selecting it. Or am I just missing how to do that?

Here are 2 of your unique favorites:

How I do it:
1. Go into your favorites where they look like thumbnails.
2. Note the photos that have (1) after them.
3. Place the cursor over the image--no need to open the photo.
4. Look at the bottom of your browser window to find the link.
5. Use a pencil and paper and note just the 5 or 6 numbers after ID=
6. Note any other details about the photog or title as you wish.
7. When you have your list, go to post reply and begin as usual. When you want to insert an image click on the last icon on the right and type only the digits of the image.
8. Click "OK" and off you go.

Points 3., 4. and 5 in two steps (Mac):

Control-click the thumbnail image selecting 'Copy Link to Clipboard'; Command V (paste).

You can also compress 3,4 and 5 in Windows PC by right clicking but the paste won't work with the last icon. It is how I make active links, though, like this:
Another of my uniques.
(It copies the entire URL, so I use the "world" icon for this sort.)

Thanks. I always do thumbnails with multiple windows/tabs going back and forth using copy/paste. Easy enough for one or two, but I have about 10 single choice favorites, I think. The trick I hadn't figured out was that pen and pencil thing. Who would have thought those would have turned out to be useful! :)

It will, but you're right: when you've copied the whole URL, you need to delete everything but the number, before pasting. Using the the hyperlink button instead makes good sense here.

I love this shot!

Beautiful portrait of a mother/daughter

Love the light in this shot, I can "be" there just by looking at it.

Just because it's funny

Just because it's beautiful

Alright, so here are a couple more solo favorites that deserve to be seen. I didn't want to put them all in my first post as I have so many, but these are great too. So there....

And these are some great ones with only 2:

It's unfortunate how many of these shots don't seem to have anything but n/a in the comments. I saw many in here that I would have loved to see some photographer's comments on. Not so much technical, but even stories behind the shots...

Laurie I think you forgot one. I hope it's still a favorite, and that you haven't changed your mind about it. :) You have so many there you probably just missed it. Not many people make my photos their favorite so I didn't want to let this go. Sorry. Thank you for making it a favorite though, that made me happy. I'm thinking about putting it on DPCPrints. What do you think?

Mark

You're exactly right...I did forget one! I'm so sorry!!! I missed it with all the others I was writing down. It is:

and I do think it would be lovely as a print. Very colorful!!!! :o)

Many of these are not challenge entries. They're outtakes or random shots posted to the forums, and those are less likely to have comments.

Hurray, my "High Note" shot no longer can be on this list!

This one can though ;)
