Would you consider the processing of this photo good, bad, or ugly?
I have no clue. Would like to know if I am on the right track
Thanks for any help

looks like the focus is soft throughout it for some reason. The photo doesn't have any area of main interest -- as I can barely make out what that machinery thing is -- it becomes more of a distraction.
Post processing looks good however.

Very nice. Can you get a little more blue in the sky? |

Processing only? I'd have to see the original. My first thoughts are that it's just a little bit too much saturation, but I'd like to see how you got to that point...

Looks very good to me. but that's just my humble opinion!
I agree on the "distractive" part, but at least it looks beautiful! |

Old tractor fading away just as the sunset was the thought behind the shot.
But what I am looking for is processing |

Definately need to see the original then to see what you got this from you know? I realize it's at another computer, just re-stating.

Upper sky looks greenish, I'd want to see that corrected regardless of the original.
Robt.

I personally think the original is better, I think you went a little overboard and went to dark/dramatic with the colors. What I do is when I think im going a little to far with the picture, I back it up just a bit and it usually turns out perfect. |

IMO I think it just looks overprocessed. It looks fine like you took it. The only thing I would do is crop out the power lines and some of the bottom.

Focus, color, subject all seem fine if that is the mood you are looking for. What I would do to inprove the composition is keep the horizonal crop you already have, or perhaps add a bit back on the bottom, but remove about a 1/4 of the image from the left side to give you some compositional balance.

Oh, and the colors on the original are just fine.

I think i would have liked to have it shown from a lower point of view too distinguish the tractor more, but I see why you went with this angle too you just lose the tractor in the background image. Maybe a clone of the sky to make it lower around the tractor would help...not sure. Good luck, I like the image otherwise. |

thanks very much for the suggestions. I guess I can see how I went a little overboard. Taking pictures is fun -- processing is work well let me say an art form. I joined the forum to learn ....and there is a lot to learn. I am starting to understand the processing is very important. It will take a long time to learn to tricks.
Again thanks everyone for your input. |
