Yup, fancied a holiday, and I've not done DC or NYC properly before (I drove through them both twice on a Boston<->Miami roadtrip, but didn't stop), so why not? :o)

just a reminder...the sign up list is on page 1 of this thread
The dates are Sunday April 17th in Manhattan. Millions of photo ops there, we'll decide specific meeting time and place later.
And Saturday April 30 at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens for the Cherry Blossom Festival. The Botanic Gardens is also across the street from Prospect Park and behind/next to the Brooklyn Museum and Library...so bring an extra CF card and sneakers...its gonna be great!
Any one interested leave a post we'll add you to the list.

JPR that photo you took for surrealism was original and different. Bring the broken camera too, you never know! lol .... Where is the meeting place for this G2G. Im in for the 17th. |

I'd like to add my friend Devorah to the list...she's under the name of deerose, I believe...she's not a paying member, but she will be at the April 17th GTG, and possibly the one on April 30th.

I've finally got booking confirmations for the flights & hotels etc, so I'm definitely gonna be in NYC between 14th - 18th April! :D If anyone wants to meet up before/after the main GTG on the 17th, just gimme a shout...

i think the prevailing interest is in a brooklyn destination...prospect park and botanical garden...
time and exact meeting sight TBA...someone from brooklyn want to chime in?

Hi!
Personally, I'd say South St Seaport for the 17th, with a long walk around the tip of the island. Or, at the Staten Island Ferry.
As for the 30th, best place is the Brooklyn Museum parking lot, right near the entrance to the Gardens.
Unless we want to find close cafes?

south street seaport and environs for the 17th works for me... plenty to see there and in battery park--around to battery park city and esplanade. and on and on.
staten island ferry also a winning idear.
