Ever wonder what you look like when no one is paying attention? I just went to New York for spring break and found some pictures of people on the subway to be quite interesting. Just wanted to share and maybe get a few comments. Feel free to share you're interesting candids.

these are great shots, added by the fact that they are risky. someone could have caused a scene over your camera. one shot a guy appears to have caught you shooting. [the one with the guy reading a newspaper]

really great stuff.......cool idea......
my favs. are the last 2 in the bunch the last the 1 of old man with the tinted glasses is a really great candid something about him drives u to look harder and want to know more than just what the image holds......
the same it ture of the 2nd to the last with the girl in the center it takes u on the same series of thoughts i evokes something diffrent from the viewer...........
as candids go u have 2 great images there and the others follow.........
also think about taking the 1 of the old man to b&w since it may apear more dimanic that way.

Man, you are so uncouth!! How romantic...a finger up your nose and scratching your ass with the other hand!

Being from the South, I didn't grow up using the subway. In my travels, I have riden subways all over Europe. I always find it interesting that most people will not make eye contact with each other. Maybe I'm naive, but I look, I'm always looking around. I can go to a mall and just and watch people for hours. I can relate to your candid shots! |

All of that with a train at high speed?
It wouldn't be impossible here in Brazil, in my city to be more accurate. Just a little modifier: it's not on tracks, but it's on the streets. One hell of a big buss, packed with ppl, then u could do that, without kissing the floor!

I would say that I really like the idea of these shots. A group of neat candids in New York would make for a good collection, subway or Central Park. Think of the possibilities!
I think these shots are a little drab though, but maybe that's what you're going for. The subway always seems a drab place. My only critique is that you could sharpen these up a bit because they look a little soft. Great shots though. |

Don't think I'll move to New York because everyone looks so tired! :-)
I believe there is a collection in here somewhere from a link of a photographer that took photos on the subways. I love *people* watching/shots |

Any of these would have worked well in the Bored challenge. Very nice stuff, truly candid and revealing.
