The following things are things that DPC members don't like in rating photos for challenges. These are things I have notice in the very short time I have been a member.
1. Don't stage a photo shoot for a challenge.
2. Candid shots go a long way.
3. The more inventive a shot the higher the points.
4. Being original counts very high.
5. Toss up of what is art and what is not.
6. Divided on a Black and White images
7. They don't like whinnnnnnnners.
8. "I can't believe I didn't score higher" blues.
9. Nudes are viewed but not highly rated.
10 Don't ever repeat an already existing thread topic.
11. DON'T FORGET TO HAVE FUN...DOING THIS, THAT COUNTS TOO.

Things DPC members like:
1. Members who have skillfully specialised in one area.
2. Minimum use of Photoshop, maximum use of camera.
3. Get togethers.
4. Discussing lenses and equipment.
5. Canon
6. Sharing humourous stories.
7. Attacking whinnnnnnnners with mob mentality.
8. Supporting other DPC members when needed.
9. The Update button.
10. Statistics. |

(Note: Only 1 out of 33.5948 DPC̢۪rs is Canadian, other countries may be ranked in a lower percentile, in a recent vote the US Constitution may have been rated higher by non-citizens on a 5 to 2.7 ratio approximating the golden measure, everyone else thought we were talking about a boat.)

I would also add that they don't like subtlety (in general). If you are trying to make a statement in your photograph, make it and make it clear, in my experience.

Ahhhhh, I see my original "RANT" list struck some chords.
I could have expanded my "top ten lists". But some of my main issues and points were expressed and responed to. But, I do appreciate your feedback, for which I thank you.
This rant and displacement of feelings is only for those who take this site serious enough to be offended. This photography business should be fun and challenging, as well as an evolution of learned skills. We learn from each other. Share your tips, advice, knowledge, thats is why I spend my time here. Nice list Mike. I would bump #2 up to #1. Also I would put Spyware in there somewhere unless it is included in Viruses. Somebody slap me for saying this and if I am wrong I apologize. Why is it that you are now listed as a female. Wasn't it male a few weeks ago?
